Temp Guard� 2100� Chimney Metal-Fab's Temp Guard� chimney is intended for use on residential and building heating appliances burning wood, oil, coal, or gas. Temp Guard� is tested and listed to UL standard 103HT. The maximum continuous operating temperature for this product is 1000� F. Metal-Fab's Temp Guard� design incorporates features that make installation quicker, easier, and safer. Some of the features are: *Ceramic fiber insulation that provides even distribution of flue gas temperature. *Light weight pipe that is 1/2 the weight of packed pipe. *Positive twist lock for easy assembly. A special feature from Metal-Fab is our product offering with either stainless steel or galvanized outer casing. Save money by using galvanized outer casing when the installation is inside a chase or inside the envelope of the home or building. Choose stainless steel outer casing when the installation is not in a chase or is exposed outside the home or building. For oil or coal burning appliances, ALWAYS use stainless steel outside the envelope of the building.

NOTE: THERE ARE AS MANY VARIABLES IN PREFAB CHIMNEY INSTALLATION AS THERE ARE DIFFERENT HOUSE STYLES. FOR PERSONAL ATTENTION CALL THE 1-800-472-6728 AND TALK TO SOMEONE WHO HAS REALLY INSTALLED MANY PREFAB CHIMNEYS, DON'T ASK A NEIGHBOR OR CO WORKER, HIS HOUSE IS NOT BUILT LIKE YOURS. DO IT RIGHT AND IT WILL BE SAFE. THIS IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE, BUT EXPERIENCE COUNTS. PLEASE CALL...THERE IS NO COST OR OBLIGATION TO PURCHASE.

How to operate your stove. (These notes were written with the Buck Stoves in mind but the basics apply to all stoves. NOTE: Wipe gold door with a soft cloth and windex before first fire. 1. First of all you will need good seasoned(NON-GREEN) firewood, and also some (NON-TREATED) kindling. 2. Place kindling on the floor of the stove using plenty of it. Then, place a few smaller logs on top of the kindling. 3.(Bay 91) Open the damper which is located at the top of the stove by pulling it toward you. Then, open the two drafts on each side at the bottom of the stove. 3a. (Mod 80) Follow above instructions, also pull out draft control at center of hearth plate. 3b. (Mod 20 only) You have a single draft control located to the right top as you face the stove. This opens a draft block on right and left of stove with the one control. 4. At this point you are ready to light your fire. Light the kindling with a "Seymour light like a match fire starters," which can be purchased from your friendly Buck Stove dealer. NOTE: Do not use any substance to start a fire that contains wax, or paraffin for it will damage the catalytic cells. 5. After your fire is lit, and you are sure it is lit start watching the catalytic probe which is located next to the damper towards the top of the stove. When the temperature reaches 200 degrees, shut the damper down half way. At this point the Catalyst is preheating itself. When the probe reaches 600 degrees shut the damper down all the way, and close the draft controls down sightly. (THE AMOUNT OF DRAFT WILL DEPEND ON THE QUALITY OF THE WOOD BEING USED, AND THE CHIMNEY ITSELF.) NOTE: NEVER, shut the drafts totally or the glass will will smoke up.
