Hi - I just wanted to tell you I called and then bought your replacement fan for my 1979 Buck Stove. I installed it per your instructions online and it works great! I've had that stove since living in Johnson City, TN back in 1978-1983. We moved to upstate NY in 1983 when my daughter was born (so we could be closer to the grandparents). We have since used the stove for many many fires. It's been great in those cold Albany winters. Anyway, the fan started to sound so loud this past year, I thought we were finished with this stove. I contacted a stove dealer and he told me there was no way I'd be able to get a replacement fan. He said he'd tried and that it would never fit, since the original was no longer available. Thanks to you, we are again enjoying the stove and a much quieter fan.

I want to thank Deborah for the superb service that she provided me only a few hours ago. I described my problem to her and she figured out that I needed a thermostat instead of a motor (as I first thought). Turns out my thermostat was still in warranty, so she got the replacement to me the very next day. I quickly replaced the thermostat and put the old one in the shipping box and put on your pre-paid label. Very efficient and handy. I didn't mind having a temporary charge placed on my card until the old part gets back to you. (I know how some folks will fail to send the old one back so that you can get credit from your supplier). My wife will be placing the return part in UPS this morning. Let me say that your business is most impressive, especially in the personal service and the family involvement. Compared to the way I've been treated by some of the heavy hitter big businesses that are squeezing their customers every which way, you folks are a breath of fresh air. May your "tribe" increase! We started selling the stoves in 1978 and have seen a transition from the two wall to the 3 wall and then to the new 2 wall with the blower in front and the big glass doors. The new stoves are pretty and more efficient, but these old stoves have a larger fire box and a charm that you don't get with gold doors. Most all the older buck stove parts are still available and the factory has done an excellent job of standing behind the product. Some of their suppliers have moved on to other products and left them in the lurch on some of the original equipment parts. Luckily we have so far found sound replacements for all the parts that the factory can not get any longer.

When you order motors or thermostats don't forget your door gasket and a can of paint to make the stove look like new, or better than new... Yes with the new metallic charcoal black paint the stove looks better than the original flat black. Of course we still stock the flat black to if you want to keep it original.

If you purchased your older Buck stove from someone who used it as an insert and you want to use it as a free standing stove, no problem. We have the free standing kits and we also carry the prefab chimney for those of you who need it. Just click on link at the bottom of this page to prefab chimneys. You will find a typical setup and the prices for the chimney parts. If you need help with this we are available to walk you through the installation process. This is a new Buck Model 91 fireplace insert, it is one of many new stoves available. All the new stoves meet the latest government emmission standards. Many have catalytic combustors to burn the smoke, and ash drawers to catch the ashes. The blowers are in the bottom of the stoves so you don't have to pull the stove to change the motor or thermostat. The door and glass frames are 24k gold plated so no polishing is necessary.
